Occupational Therapy Assistant

Office coordinator

Taylor is a certified occupational therapy assistant and currently works as the office coordinator for Paper Plane Therapies. 

She received her Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from Grand Rapids Community College and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Behavioral Health Science with Emphasis in Childhood and Adolescent Disorders from Grand Canyon University. 

Taylor’s clinical experience includes working in both Grand Rapids Public Schools and local residential systems where her primary focus has been working with children with autism, developmental delay, emotional impairment, and trauma. She has experience in applied behavior analysis techniques, sensory integration, mindfulness, Zones of Regulation, and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention. She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, licensed by the State of Michigan, and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. 

Using her background in occupational therapy, Taylor wants to help children and their families by promoting mental health and wellness, and by helping communities recognize and understand how to help children thrive! She is passionate about empowering families, practitioners, and organizations to support the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of the children in our community. She plans to expand her knowledge and education in the areas of trauma, mental health, and social/emotional regulation. 

Taylor currently lives in Grand Rapids. When she’s not at Paper Plane Therapies, you will most likely find her at Starbucks, pursuing various creative outlets, or spending time with her nieces and nephew.
