Kendra is an occupational therapist and the occupational therapy team lead at Paper Plane Therapies.
Kendra attended Western Michigan University for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She received her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Services with a minor in integrative holistic health and wellness. She then went on to complete her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy.
She has experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics, acute care, as well as community settings serving individuals who are of homeless status. Kendra is familiar with working with a range of pediatric diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays and neuromuscular disorders. She also has experience with Greenspan’s DIR/Floortime Method, Astronaut Training and Handwriting without Tears.
Kendra has a passion for working with a pediatric population and helping all children lead happy and functional lives. She is excited to continue to her education and expand her knowledge on autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing and neurodevelopmental treatment. She is certified through National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy and is licensed by the state of Michigan.
Kendra currently resides in Grand Rapids. When she is not working, she stays busy by running, doing yoga, trying new recipes, reading and spending time outdoors.
