Speech Language Pathologist

Hannah is a speech-language pathologist who earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology from Calvin University. She has worked with children in both outpatient and school settings. Hannah has experience evaluating and treating children with language disorders, motor speech disorders, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, fluency disorders, and speech sound disorders. She also enjoys working with children who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Hannah believes therapy works best when it’s fun, meaningful, embedded in play, and connected to each child’s interests. She enjoys getting to know her clients and families to make sessions engaging and individualized. Collaboration with families, teachers, and other team members is an important part of her approach to ensure consistency and support across settings.

Hannah has pursued additional training in orofacial myofunctional therapy, early intervention for children with expressive language delays, and play-based therapy for children with autism. She has also received a certificate of completion in orofacial myofunctional therapy through Simon Says Speech. She plans to continue her professional learning in the area of gestalt language processing. Hannah is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the state of Michigan.

She lives in Grand Rapids and loves exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, reading, hiking and spending time by the lakeshore, and enjoying time with her family.
