Sarah Merritt

MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Sarah is an occupational therapist who received her Master of Occupational Therapy at Western Michigan University. Sarah previously obtained her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy and minor in Psychology at Central Michigan University.  

 

Sarah has previous experience working as an occupational therapist in the pediatric outpatient setting. Prior to completing her master's degree, Sarah worked as a Recreation Therapist in pediatric and adult psychiatric settings. 

 

Sarah has had the pleasure to work with various diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, anxiety, cognitive and developmental delays, motor delays, and those with feeding difficulties. She also has experience in the S.O.S. Approach to Feeding and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in other pediatric approaches.  

 

Sarah has a dedication and passion for working with children. She enjoys individualizing treatment sessions to fit the child’s interests and prides her approach on engagement and fun. Sarah is certified by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy and is license in Michigan.  

 

Sarah currently resides in Grand Rapids. During her down time, Sarah enjoys going to the lake, spending time with family and friends, running, and playing with her dog Banff.
